Top 4 Dating Location

By Julie Takamatsu

Spring season is around the corner and the time for most people to fall in love. It could be the beautiful warm weather that making you fall head over heels. You called your date and he/she agree to meet up with you. Now what?

Besides having a great first impression, you also need to think about where to take your date. Every business class around the world has been saying this for ages is location, location, location. It doesn't really matter what car you driving or where you're currently working, planning a good date show the other person, you can be unique, playful and fun to be with. You want to pick a place where the both of you can have a conservation so you can get to know him/her more.

Below are a list of suggestions for first date as well as some advice.

1. Restaurants
Find out what your date like to eat or if he/she is a vegetarian or a vegan. Choose a place that both of you are comfortable with and close. Don't make your date drive 2 hour to get to the place. If you are not familiar with the place, do check it out beforehand. Consider the noise factor and make sure it is easy to talk to. I wouldn't recommend a high end restaurant. Pick something that is casual and relaxed.

Tips: You might want to bring something extra like flowers for the lady or a box of cookie for the guy. This will surely impress your date and you'll score some brownie point.

2. Movie and Coffee
Unless she/he is into scary movie, pick something that is light such as a romantic comedy. Purchase the tickets on-line or at the counter beforehand so that you can zip through the never ending lines at the theater. Bring extra cash for all those goodies like popcorn, soda and even candies. After the movie, you can go for coffee and talk about it. Your likes and dislikes of what you just saw.

Tips: Most newer theater have deluxe seating that you can arrange. It is usually only a 2 seater in the middle or the back of the theater. It gives you added privacy for those moments that you want to cuddle.

3. Miniature Golfing or a Museum
It allows you to observe your date in action or pick their brain on what they know. It provide opportunities for more conservation and flirting. If you have lots of knowledge on what your doing or seeing, share your wisdom and it will definitely impress your date.

4. Cocktails/Drinks after work
Many people like this as it is relaxed and does not put too much pressure on either party. Arrange for something casual after work at a nearby bar. Make sure it is comfortable and the noise is not too loud.

Remember the most important thing is to have fun. Good luck.

I haven't been single long enough at any time to think much about dating. I have always done what I would normally do or let my date do what she would normally do.

I am always surprised when a mate takes a girl or boy on a date to somewhere that they have never been before and will probably never go to again.

Maybe there is too much image making and not enough friendship making?

Funny, witty and hilarious indeed. ;)

Wouldn't a box of cookies get you cookie points and not brownie points?

Yup! Yup! ;)

Having fun is great advise, Julie. Now let's keep it going after the first date and so long as we are together. Life is short, especially when you look ahead from my perch.
Thank you for sharing.
Best to you.

Yeah -- I agree. Life is short. Sometimes I really hope that we have 48 hours in a day instead of 24. With so many chores, there not enough time to enjoyed others like writing, movies and spending time hanging out with friends.
